Percepta (Techstars '20) is a rapidly growing ‘ethical AI’ startup. We develop real-time computer vision solutions to combat both the financial impact of shoplifting and the bias of today's loss prevention practices. Our AI focuses exclusively on shoppers' behavior to detect shoplifting, stripping away all demographic information such as age, race, or gender to take bias out of the equation. With our novel privacy-preserving and bias-mitigating AI, we are redefining loss prevention and ethical AI for the 21st century.
