Pebble's mission is to empower small businesses and their communities. Consumer behavior has shifted away from the siloed experience of shopping separate brands towards omni-channel experiences that have mainly benefited large corporations and retailers. Our vision is to shift this dynamic back to small, local business and independent brands. Pebble matters for all of the reasons small businesses matter: 1. A dollar spent in a local business stays in the community. Independent retailers return more than three times as much money to their local community per dollar of sales than chain competitors. 3. Small businesses empower social mobility and job creation. Small businesses account for over 85% of new jobs while Amazon creates nearly zero local benefit and has displaced hundreds of thousands of retail jobs.
