PDFik careers
PDFik is an asynchronous PDF generation API for developers. Send a public URL or raw HTML, get a job id back, and receive an HMAC-signed webhook notification the moment the PDF is ready — no polling loops (although polling endpoints exist too). Rendering runs on sandboxed headless Chromium, so modern CSS, web fonts and JavaScript-heavy pages come out the way they look in a browser.
Why we exist: most HTML-to-PDF services treat webhooks, large files and honest metering as premium extras. We made them the baseline. Signed webhooks are on every plan, including Free. Files up to 150 MB on every plan. Rendered PDFs and generated gigabytes are metered separately, downloads never debit your quota, and every limit is published on the pricing page. A free test mode ("test": true) exercises the whole pipeline — statuses, webhooks, signatures, downloads — without spending anything. Generated documents are guaranteed deleted within 24 hours; per-job credentials are encrypted end to end.
What we're solving: reliable delivery of asynchronous work at scale (queues, dead-letter handling, idempotency), safe rendering of untrusted pages (SSRF protection, browser sandboxing, network isolation), and usage-based billing that customers can actually predict.
How we work: PDFik is bootstrapped and built in Kraków, Poland, by a founder who writes the code, runs the infrastructure and answers support. Stack: TypeScript (NestJS, Next.js), Python (FastAPI, Playwright), PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS (EKS, SQS, S3), Terraform, Helm. Official SDKs for JavaScript, Python and Java. Every change ships through staging and an end-to-end suite before production.
Free plan: 100 PDFs and 0.5 GB per month, card verified, never charged. Paid plans from $29/month.
