PayZen is a new and exciting venture at the intersection of FinTech, Payments, and HealthTech. We are tackling the massive problem created by the shift in payment responsibility for healthcare to patients. More than 40% of the US population is on high deductible health plans, yet most people can’t afford a $400 emergency expense. Healthcare providers are facing a real collection challenge that results in significant cash flow issues and frustrating patient experience. Our home base is San Francisco, and we are building a technology and data platform that solves a massively growing problem for patients and medical providers. Our vision is: Patients should be able to pay their high out-of-pocket medical bills with convenience and transparency. Providers should receive more and faster cash flow from direct-to-patient billings.
