Principal Full Stack Engineer Ever dreamt of being in charge of all technical decisions? Owning the entire product? Do you like being a jack of all trades who can work on a little bit of everything? Now’s your chance! You’ll be the only engineer in the company for a while, so you’ll need to be able to work somewhat independently, though we encourage reaching out to your network for advice plenty and of course collaborating heavily with your internal stakeholders. What you’ll be doing -Building a product from scratch—you get to choose the right tools for the job -Creating a frontend experience that’s intuitive and easy to use and delights users -Making sure our product is as performant as possible -Maintaining API connections with our data partners, including sending data, receiving data, and embedding widgets from other products within our platform -Ensuring we stay in compliance with all regulations (sorry, there are a lot in the loan space) and user data is always secure -Keeping our product always a few steps ahead by setting up and scaling our servers and database structure -Collaborating heavily with other team members to make sure we provide a great user experience and contributing your ideas on how to do this -Laying the foundation for all future engineers—test patterns, architectural patterns, deployment processes, etc. -Helping to define the culture of Paintbrush—you’ll be one of our earliest hires!
