OSCILLATIONS careers
OSCILLATIONS is building a D2C, cross-platform media brand to drive adoption of frontier tech like VR/AR and brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). Like Pixar and Nintendo, we’re pioneering the entertainment tech of the future and the creative IP to show it off.
In order for a media company to succeed in immersive entertainment, it needs to:
Get to sustainable, diversified revenue ASAP.
Scale with low overhead/CAC.
Build a large consumer audience.
Attract venture capital and brand partners to scale quickly.
A new business model that reliably meets these four requirements is currently receiving a lot of attention from venture investors. This model is the influencer-driven, D2C OTT media brand. It’s never been applied to immersive entertainment, and the timing is ideal. OSCILLATIONS will be the first to do so.
Big brands, celebrities, and communities of influencers are beginning to launch their own OTT brands. SaaS companies like Vimeo are rising to meet this demand, responding to social media platforms’ shift away from organic connections and toward paid media: as platforms become more crowded, the price of attention rises and it becomes harder for creators to monetize. The future of content is in niche, creative communities migrating away from social media and toward their own walled-in gardens.
OSCILLATIONS is doing this with over 150 influencers across top-performing passion verticals on social media (dance, sport, makeup, fashion, music, art). We’re bringing their 68M highly engaged followers to immersive entertainment. Across episodics, podcasts, and social media, our brand tells the “white mirror” stories of creative influencers working alongside scientists and technologists to build new use-cases for immersive entertainment.
As Facebook and Instagram become marketing tools for OTT platforms with their own social functionalities, we’ll leverage our audience power to create diverse revenue that will fund our new platform for immersive entertainment.
