Openfolio brings the power of networks – openness, connectivity, collective intelligence – to the world of personal investing.

Founded by refugees from Wall Street, Openfolio is a community-powered, portfolio sharing network. Users join and share their portfolios and allocations – stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other assets – but not any dollar amounts. Members of the community follow individuals they know, friends of friends, and also notable investors such as Warren Buffet and Carl Icahn, whose portfolios are constructed from publicly available data. Members of the community will make smarter investing decisions thanks to the collective wisdom of their networks.

The company believes that “everyone knows something really important, but no one knows everything.” Millennial investors – as well as many in other generations – are suspicious of formal authority and received wisdom, and believe that the best advice and counsel bubbles up from their immediate and extended networks.
