OpenClass is a learning tool for educators to build & crowdsource mastery-based assignments. Our assignments leverage learning principles proven to optimize knowledge retention, and identify & bridge knowledge gaps to personalize learning for students.

The core problem we're trying to solve is the "glove" or "one-size-fits-all" problem. It's inherently impossible for one educator to reach the unique needs of each of their students. As a result, students leave their classes and retain a minimal amount of the information. Let's make it easy for educators to add an at-your-own-pace component to their classes to help their students master their curriculum.

Our mission is to improve & democratize education. As such, we will always have a strong version of our product available for free. The business model is to (1) charge for institutional licenses that include extra features (branded environment, LMS integration, Single Sign-On, etc.), (2) charge for assignment building services, and (3) (eventually) add a service fee for private / paid classes.
