• Define and lead Ookla’s enterprise data governance strategy, operating model, policies, standards, and multi-year roadmap.
• Establish and operationalize data ownership, data stewardship, and accountability frameworks across all data domains.

• Define and execute Ookla's data product and innovation strategy, spanning external data products, APIs, DaaS offerings, and marketplace positioning.
• Lead the full innovation lifecycle from discovery and prototyping through commercial launch and ongoing optimization.

• Define and maintain Ookla’s enterprise data architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and design patterns.
• Develop and steward enterprise data models, canonical definitions, schema standards, and reference data structures.

• Design and implement Ookla’s enterprise data quality framework, including rules, standards, measurement practices, and ownership accountability.
• Build and operate a data observability capability to monitor data health, freshness, volume, schema changes, and pipeline reliability.

• Explore multiple directions for a problem before committing, including options outside the current roadmap or sprint, and bring a point of view on where a brand or product should go next

• Be a true stakeholder and lead data-driven alignment meetings across all major business dependencies, explaining complex data narratives clearly to non-technical teams.
• Utilize modern AI tools (Snowflake / BigQuery) with advanced language models (Claude, Gemini, OpenAI) and LLM'S to accelarate Data discovery to automate routine data discovery, anomaly detection, and performance summaries.

• Client Onboarding & Sales Collaboration
• Seamless Sales Handoff: Partner with the Sales team to take ownership of newly closed high-volume enterprise accounts, translating contract terms into technical implementation plans.
