Onwe is a black, women-led publisher building an ecosystem that allows diverse voices and under-represented ideals to reach the mainstream via unique content, products and experiences. Our first title, Daughters of Nri, is a young adult fantasy set in ancient Nigeria and featured in the BBC, Metro and Bustle. Bestselling author, Dorothy Koomson, said that the book "is something special...so much myth, fantasy and genuinely great storytelling," while Buzzfeed said, "Amayo weaves a world of literary magic." Our initiatives have garnered over a million impressions from a group of users, and this includes our podcast Subtexting's engaged listeners. We're small, but we're mighty, and we have a team dedicated to ensuring that diverse creatives get paid their due for their world-changing work.
