Onion makes building hardware easy for software people.

Our hardware, the Onion Omega, is a tiny, WiFi-enabled, Arduino-compatible development board that runs Linux. It reduces the learning curve associated with creating hardware projects by allowing developers to create projects with a variety of programming languages, such as Python, Javascript, or PHP. It's less than a quarter of the size of the Raspberry Pi, thus making it ideal for embedding into DIY projects, as well as connected products.

Our software, the Onion Cloud, is fully integrated into the Omega, making it a breeze to connect physical devices to the Web to create Internet of Things applications. We have also developed a virtual desktop interface called the Console that runs in the browser and allows developers to interact with low-level embedded devices using familiar GUI environments.
