When we consume, we extract from our planet. Can we re-work our requirements and supplies in a manner that becomes less extractive than the current methods in place? One For Blue is working with pre-loved materials, by giving them new life forms, and adding life layers, we help maximise resource utility thereby helping address human impact on the environment. Cotton, the world's favorite apparel fiber, typically has 3 lives. The first as our apparel, second as rugs and mats, and the third and rather recent one being energy. By giving just one (1) extra life, we could help improve resource efficiency by 33% - like living for 100 years instead of 75! Our idea is to explore and promote technology and processes which could add multiple lives to materials. What if we could add 3 new lives to the same material? Goosebumps! Sustainability that's affordable and accessible is our mantra. We're energized by the potential that mass level sustainability promises for the future of our planet. Yes, there's plenty of sustainable brands in the world, and many mushrooming in India. But how many of us are wearing them? We're a small team looking for visionaries who believe the future lies in sustainability and re-hashing the accepted normal. While disruption sounds cool, we really steer away from it. We believe people are looking for a gradual path to nirvana. Ever questioned yourself, would I pick nirvana over everything else if I were getting it now? All of us want a cleaner, greener, and healthier planet where everyone's happy. We're doing our bit to make it happen.
