Yes, building secure IoT products is difficult, and there are a jaw-dropping amount of vulnerabilities in the vast amount of IoT devices that exist on the market today. In the coming years, IoT devices will continue its exponential growth in presence in the market. Building the tools that protect people from nefarious actors that use weak IoT devices as attack vectors is an important mission, and one that is of paramount importance to everyone who values their own privacy, and their family's privacy. In addition to protecting the digital smart-home, your work at Ocktet will also involve: 1. Hunt and take down botnets in IoT devices 2. Help IoT manufacturers build more secure devices 3. Conduct advanced quantitative research on the latest state-of-the-art malware 4. Build advanced machine-learning based tools to mask the network activity of IoT devices to observers outside the network (e.g. use GAN's to hide IoT activity from ISP's) 5. Help track and fight foreign election interference in the United States
