We don't plan for death enough because it can be difficult to organise in life. Obon is here to transform how we manage our daily affairs, which means we can maximise our legacy. Our mission is to empower people through turning their information into knowledge, enabling them to make the best decisions they can for each life stage. That could be setting up childrens' pensions or avoiding being a mortgage prisoner (yeap - that's a thing). Born from personally experiencing how distressing it is to deal with the tidal wave of stuff you need to know and do when someone you love dies, we realised the solution needs to be more than listing funeral preferences. To really address this we need to make death part of life and make life "administration" as easy as possible. Quite literally, making it part of everyday. Founded by a very experienced team across business/strategy, technology and marketing, we are impassioned to build the kind of business we all wish we worked at. For us that is both living by our values, and our business being built to genuinely make people’s lives easier.
