Ear tube placement surgery for glue ear disease is the most common procedure done under GA for children. There are approximately 6 million surgeries performed in the US, Europe, China and Singapore annually. Annual treatment cost in U.S. alone exceeds USD 5 billion. It is projected that more than 16 million surgeries are needed globally but unmet to treat glue ears. Current surgery requires GA, full operating room resources and microscope, with high health risks and economic burden to patients. NousQ is a Singapore start-up company that pivoted in July 2021 to design, develop, manufacture and commercialize medical technology and devices for patients. NousQ aims to provide patient-centric medical solutions that patients really want and need. We aspire not only to innovate to optimize healthcare delivery for existing patients, but also to meet the needs of the many millions of patients who cannot access care currently.
