Our industry has learned the right words to say about diversity and inclusion, but very few companies are actually doing the necessary work to make these dual goals happen. Regrettably, the focus is limited to recruiting “diverse” candidates and garnering “pats on the back” for marginally improved demographics, instead of thinking of ways to create systemic change and provide not only a welcoming work environment but also meaningful career advancement opportunities for every employee. At Nacelle, we are committed to doing better. We’ve always run our business on a set of humanist principles, and we’ve never been afraid to challenge the status quo. Instead of spending years digging out of a mountain of culture debt accrued, we aim to be better than the industry standard from the start.
