After seeing the explosive growth of the gig economy over the last 10 years, we have observed what is missing: connection, community, benefits, identity...and are working on building the future of the gig economy: one that can meet those needs for the providers while also still serving up a great experience for the clients. Our company was founded by Melissa Strawn, who grew up in poverty, had been a single mom, and relied on the gig economy to make ends meet. She is acutely aware of the challenges of trying to piece together one's earnings from the existing gig sites out there today and is also aware of how lonely gig work can become when one isn't connected with others who understand or when one is presented with clients who don't care about the provider as a real person behind the services. We are a bootstrapped startup. We have considered fundraising, but we want to give an honest shot to making this work without outside investment.
