We have planning permission to construct the first major new Scotch Whisky distillery in Scotland's capital city for over a century. Our plans extend to constructing a further two distilleries as we seek to leverage a major generational shift currently taking place in the Scotch whisky market, as consumers move from big blended brands to Single Malt.

While the USA has seen remarkable growth in the craft spirits sector, the same has not happened in Scotland, despite Scotch Whisky's global reputation as the world's premium spirit. This is due to a major barrier to entry: Scotch must be aged for 3 years minimum, and much longer to achieve a quality product.

By locating our first distillery, The Port of Leith Distillery, next to one of Edinburgh's major tourist attractions, The Royal Yacht Britannia (400k visitors/year) our company will bring in significant tourism revenues and gain enormous exposure as Edinburgh's new Single Malt Whisky producer.
