You: • Love the idea of building cutting edge web sites that serve millions of users • Are excited about the prospect of creating the very first version of a product • Understand what makes a quality user interface, and are capable of getting pixel perfect results • Write clean and easy to read code • Have built something you are proud of - at work, in school, or on your own • Know how things work under the hood • Get things done, no matter what it takes • Are ready to recruit your own engineering team when it’s time to scale • Are willing to work in the Washington DC-Baltimore area Responsibilities: • Be the founding engineer at Mosaicverse, reporting directly to the Co-Founder team • Create cloud based web applications using HTML5 set of standards, as well as applications for mobile platforms • Implement high quality architecture in place that will scale to millions of users • Participate in product strategy • Build tools that you or others need • Recruit and expand the engineering team as the business grows, and assume technology leadership Qualifications: • Linux, PostgreSQL, nginx, python, django, redis running in AWS • HTML5, Javascript, jQuery, CSS • Strong problem solving ability • Strong command of computer science and math fundamentals • Experience in web search technology, natural language processing, or machine learning is a plus • Experience in mobile development is a plus Perks: • You’ll be employee number 3 in the company, with real equity • Flexible hours, flexible vacation • You pick your setup (computer/monitor/etc)
