Monkee is an early stage FinTech venture with the mission to improve financial health of young families by offering an app-based service that makes saving and investing money for kids as easy as spending it. Monkee tries to sustainably impact the saving behavior of young families and kids already from a very early age to bring saving back into sync with spending. A number of factors are contributing to the increasing magnitude this globally relevant societal challenge: 1. The costs of raising kids are at an all-time high and keep rising 2. Unhealthy and increasing amounts of debt (driven also by increasing education costs) 3. Consumption has never been easier: subscription models, one-click-buying or consumer financing models bring down barriers 4. Innovation in savings products has been limited: it’s easier to spend money than to save and invest money Those mentioned factors result into increased levels of money worries - especially at young parents - and are a key contributor to stress and poor mental health, calling for new innovative solutions within this space. Monkee's big vision is to tackle these global challenges and improve the financial health of young familiers with a human centric solution. We are a young team of 3 founders and we are now seeking to bring a motivated senior IT professional as the 4th co-founder on board, who can develop a functional prototype and to develop further applications and constantly implement improvements to our solutions.
