Molecular Detection, Inc. (“MDI” or the “Company”) is a privately-held commercial-stage diagnostics company that has developed and commercialized a series of performance-leading highly-multiplexed, rapid and highly-accurate molecular diagnostic assay kits. MDI’s initial commercial focus is on the rapid detection of infectious diseases. Rapid detection of HAIs and infectious diseases represents >$2B worldwide market for diagnostics.

MDI has commercialized its Detect-Ready® MRSA Panel, for the rapid MRSA, MSSA and MRCNS and is in full time hospital and laboratory use in the European Union. MDI is finalizing the development the Whole Blood Sepsis Panel, which will be the first molecular diagnostic test to provide timely, accurate identification of key antibiotic resistance determinants and pathogens within 3 hours direct from patient sample. Finally, MDI is in advanced development of the Detect-Ready Gastro Panel, for the rapid detection of diarrhea-causing bacteria.
