Marketplace app for secondhand kids' fashion and footwear. Serving families across Canada
Kids grow, but their clothes do not. New clothes are a regular expense for every family. And sure enough, what is purchased this season may no longer fit next season. This accumulating cost and collection of outgrown clothes contribute to overburdened budgets, closets and brain space as families struggle to figure out how to manage it all.

Families deserve to have an easy way to earn back some of the investment they make in dressing their kids that helps them stay organized at home and proud of their contribution to maintaining a healthy environment.

Our Solution: ModTod is a family-to-family marketplace for new and quality secondhand kids' clothes and shoes. We connect Canadian families and facilitate their ability to buy, sell and trade gently-worn, pre-loved children’s apparel and footwear. Our free mobile app helps families:

1. Get organized and cut down on outgrown kids’ clothes that clutter personal spaces
2. Save money by returning some of the investment made to dress their children each year
3. Reduce overwhelm by eliminating in-person exchanges - both the planning and travel
4. Be more sustainable and send their preloved clothes to other families not the garbage

ModTod is a mom-owned and family-operated business based in Montreal, Quebec. It was created by Arron Neal, a 20-year communications veteran and mother of two, after struggling to find an easy and convenient way to clear her closet of clothes and shoes that her children had outgrown and refresh their wardrobe with affordable items suitable for play, special events and extra-curricular activities. In creating ModTod, Arron wanted to eliminate the chore of having to coordinate and meet up with strangers in parking lots and coffee shops to exchange her family’s pre-loved items. And, she wanted to make it easier for families to find what they needed in curated community focused exclusively on apparel and footwear where they could buy and sell beyond their local communities.
