Mizuho Capital Markets Corporation (“MCMC”) is an indirect, wholly owned non-banking subsidiary of Mizuho Bank, Ltd., which is itself owned by Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. is a top tier Japanese holding company formed through the 2002 merger of The Fuji Bank, Limited, The Industrial Bank of Japan, Limited and the Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, Limited. Its common stock is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and its ADRs are listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Mizuho Capital Markets Corporation is a U.S. swap dealer which operates as a specialized financial derivatives company. MCMC has affiliates in London (Mizuho Capital Markets (UK) Ltd.) and Hong Kong (Mizuho Capital Markets (HK) Ltd.). MCMC is provisionally registered with the CFTC as a swap dealer and provides OTC market making services primarily in the interest rate and FX markets. MCMC maintains the ability to leverage industry-standard advanced infrastructures, such as SwapClear membership of London Clearing House, DTCC, MarkitWire, STP, etc. MCMC’s market making activity includes: - providing Hedging solutions to a customer base including corporate counterparties, second and third tier financial institutions and supranational entities - Hedging opportunities related to project finance transactions in which Mizuho Bank is a participant in structuring and financing the target projects - US dollar liquidity to affiliates
