• Financial Close & Accounting Governance

Lead the monthly close process and coordinate close calendars, task lists, cutoffs, accruals, actuals loads, and multi-ledger activities.
Oversee recurring and manual journal entries, account reconciliations, consolidations, eliminations, and intercompany settlements.
Review financial results, flux and variance analyses, issue logs, and remediation activities to maintain accurate and timely reporting.
Maintain accounting governance across ledgers, including chart-of-accounts and vendor-to-P&L mapping standards.
Communicate financial results, risks, and recommendations to leaders and stakeholders with varying levels of financial expertise.

• Lead the development, maintenance, and delivery of Medicare reporting for employers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Own complex recurring and ad hoc Medicare reports and data feeds, including high‑cost claimant, utilization, financial, medical and pharmacy reports.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance analytics and reporting supporting: o STARS performance o HEDIS measures o Provider quality outcomes o Member engagement and care management effectiveness
• Translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights that support quality improvement and business decision-making

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a defined book of business, managing escalated service issues and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Partner with SRMs and AEs to support new business processes and support renewals, including financial analysis and reporting.

• Design, implement, and continuously improve onboarding programs for Medica's National Sales team.

• Ensure Provider Network Data Integrity & Accuracy

Monitor and validate provider data across PNOM systems to ensure completeness and consistency.
Perform complex data analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and root causes of errors.
Resolve data quality issues through investigation, correction, and coordination with partners.
Maintain documentation and controls that support audit readiness and data governance.

• Oversees general ledger, journal processing, payables, and cash functions within Workday
• Establishes and maintains system configurations supporting financial processes and controls

• Design and maintain financial reporting solutions within Workday

Develop and maintain standard financial reports that support financial close, regulatory requirements, financial audits, and ad hoc requests
Configure reporting structures such as dimensions and hierarchies to support business and statutory reporting needs
Ensure reporting outputs align with general ledger data and financial structures

• Month-End Close & Journal Entries

Prepare and post monthly journal entries for paid claims, IBNR estimates, revenue, and membership
Calculate and record interest, reinsurance, and reserve adjustments
Process vendor payments and administrative fee entries
Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities within established deadlines

• Lead financial data validation for new TPA claims platform migration
• Detailed attribute testing of data and reports in collaboration with other departments

• Backlog Ownership & Grooming
• Translate prioritized capability epics (from TPM ) into clear backlog items (features, user stories, technical enablers)

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a defined book of business, managing escalated service issues and ensuring client satisfaction.
