The Aquilonix Prosthesis Cooling System solves a problem common to the 1.3 million lower limb amputees in the U.S. Whether the limb is amputated due to a military incident, a traumatic event, diabetes, or cancer, all amputees experience a build up of heat and sweat when they wear their prosthetic limb. It's uncomfortable, disrupts daily activities, and impacts overall quality of life. We're not talking about little beads of perspiration - the sweating is so intense that the limb must be removed and the sweat poured out.

Using innovative, patent pending technology, the Aquilonix System thermoelectrically cools the space within the socket and removes heat - enhancing comfort and quality of life. The System is small, lightweight, battery-powered, and is built into the socket of the prosthesis during the fabrication process.

The primary focus in prosthetics today is on improving performance and function. The Aquilonix System will be the first product to effectively address comfort.
