Kolu is a platform that connects travelers with local guides for personalized introductions to cities. Kolu is about choice. Much how Uber gives people the choice to be private drivers, and Airbnb offers lodging to travelers, Kolu allows travelers to choose the way they want to travel and will allow locals to share the best parts of their city with others. Don’t waste your time and money getting caught in tourist traps. Instead, be led around town by a knowledgeable local to places you can’t find on Google. What makes Kolu unique are what we call “Travel Interests”. Each Interest is a representation of your personality. When you create your profile, you pick 3 out of the 12 Interests. Maybe you’re a Foodie, Culture Hound, and a Sports Buff. Then you create trips based on exactly what you want to do and see. When you choose your Local Guide, you can view their boots as well, so that you can match based on similar interests.
