The Smart Container Company has invented a patent-pending IoT device which can be added to any standard-sized keg, to continuously monitor its volume, temperature, motion, and location - instantly turning these containers into “smart” kegs.
Collecting real-time data from the kegs helps target wastage in the supply chain, with enhanced visibility into distribution, logistics, and production of draught beer. Our cloud-based software platform uses this data to provide actionable insights to reduce operational inefficiencies, improve decision making, and gain unparalleled knowledge about the keg.
Promoting better usage of the keg reduces the need for (and waste from) single-use containers such as cans and bottles, and also allows for optimised distribution, which reduces the carbon footprint of deliveries, and of the industry as a whole.
