Companies are a major factor in reaching both climate goals and all other broader sustainability topics (people & planet related) that need to be addressed urgently in our growth-centered economic system. Interestingly, a large part of those companies see themselves basically untouched by this urgency: The 90% of the SME in the DACH Market, particularly those 80% which are "non-producing", ie. in the service / IT / knowledge and administration sector. We identified 3 major barriers for this segment to participate in effective sustainability activities: 1) The strategic / growth value for engaging in sustainability activities is unclear 2) Sustainability as a topic with all its offers to help manifest it is too complex & too obscure to choose a particular pathway 3) Accessing the topic seems too expensive and too time-consuming to actually enable someone (especially in smaller companies) to get down to it. So we developed a program helping those companies understand the topic of sustainability, find recognized goals fitting to their strategic outlook and develop first iniatives that engrain the topic deeply in their operations. All in record time, with fewer resource investment and with a lot of fun.
