Jewliebots is a customizable interconnected network of programmable wearables aimed at cultivating the interest of teenage girls in engineering. This patent pending technology enables girls to wear and display their friendships on their wrists. Using a phone app girls can create personal alerts and communicate with your friends using lights and vibrations. Jewliebots allow you to customize your jewelry and its behavior to reflect unique personalities and friendships. Using the Arduino programming interface, girls can also program their Jewliebots to notify them when they have a facebook message, a new instagram follower, and more. Started by Sara Chipps, co-founder of Girl Develop It, a 501c3 that has taught over 17,000 adult women how to code at in person classes around the country, former CTO of Flatiron School and Levo League. As well as ITP graduate Maria Paula Saba, and Brooke Moreland, who founded and grew a social network for hundreds of thousands of teenagers. Together we are uniquely positioned to bring engineering and fun to girls around the world. We believe by using teenage friendships as our vehicle, we can empower the next generation of female engineers and coders.
