I started JanusHermes because the international real estate market is one of the most globally significant yet most poorly served categories in tech. When I tried to research foreign property investment opportunities myself, I found the experience broken in every direction: fragmented national portals, outdated market data, language barriers, and no single place where an investor could compare markets across countries with confidence. What started as a personal frustration became a deliberate attempt to build the platform I wished existed — the Bloomberg Terminal for cross-border real estate. We cover 50+ countries in 11 languages, integrate OECD and World Bank economic data alongside property listings, filter Golden Visa opportunities across 20+ programs, and use AI to help investors ask natural-language questions about markets they've never visited. Working on JanusHermes is deeply rewarding because every feature we ship closes a gap that hundreds of thousands of international investors hit every year. Real estate is one of the last major consumer categories where a truly global, data-driven product experience doesn't exist — and building it means sitting at the intersection of finance, geography, language, policy, and AI.
