Innovative Surgical Designs, Inc. (ISD) is a medtech start-up company that has developed Altum, the first and only minimally invasive cure for lumbar spinal stenosis that maintains the natural dynamics of the spine.

Altum is a percutaneous device that goes in through the pedicles and cuts the pedicles from the inside out. Our bone saw is the first and only saw in the world that can cut bone from the inside out. After the pedicles are cut, we insert our implant that expands the central and foraminal opens on average 50%. It is a simple procedure with advanced technology that takes about 30 minutes per level to perform.
