Hovr careers
Hovr (formerly Ridesurf) is a web and mobile app for long-distance and event carpooling in North America. It matches anyone embarking on a pre-planned road trip with an extra seat(s) in their car with people going the same general direction, allowing the rider to purchase a seat for a fee that the driver determines. Target users are anyone who desire to connect with other travelers headed in the same direction; rather than hiring a rental car, taking a bus/train, or diving alone.
Long-distance carpooling is extremely popular in Europe, yet is still virtually non-existent in North America. Hovr's goal is to popularize it here. This is better for the environment and less expensive than driving alone. It also provides an alternative transportation option for people without vehicles to travel directly to their destination in a private vehicle.
