Hovr is seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our team as a co-founder with an extremely generous equity stake (slicing the pie model). As a key member of the founding team, our CTO will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical base of the company, eventually building and leading a world-class engineering team, and driving the development of our product.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide strategic technical leadership in alignment with the company's vision, mission, and goals. Collaborate with the CEO and other stakeholders to define the product roadmap and technical architecture.
- Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment and maintenance.
- Team Building and Management: (post-funding) Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing engineering team. Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.
- Technology Stack Optimization: Maintain and continuously evaluate our technologies, frameworks, and tooling for better and/or less expensive solutions. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our technology stack remains cutting-edge and secure.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance and testing processes to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our software products. Implement automated testing frameworks and tools to enable continuous integration and delivery.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of technical leadership and innovation in a startup.
- Extensive experience in software engineering, with expertise in B2C product development.
- Strong proficiency in both web and mobile app development.
- Experience building and leading engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of agile development methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building impactful apps.
