Who we are We’re building a faith based meditation app. Think Calm & Headspace, but Catholic. We believe that there’s an enormous amount of beauty and power in the Christian faith and that if we’re able to bring that to people through today’s best technology and UI, we can change lives. We are just about a year old and launched our app publicly in the Apple and Google Play stores in December. So far we’ve seen some great traction and have raised some money, but still have an enormous amount to do and learn. We’re a team of less than 10 so far and are looking to bring someone on to lead the tech team. What you’ll love about this job Mission: working on Hallow is an incredible blessing. We get the chance to try and help people find peace in their lives and to grow closer to God. Each morning we wake up to another piece of deeply moving feedback from our users. Ownership: you will report directly to the CEO and will own everything from talking to users, outlining the feature roadmap, designing the app (working with our rockstar UI / UX designer) and building the front and back-end code. Growth: from day 1 you’ll be a part of our executive leadership team and get to journey with a Silicon Valley startup from the beginning. In just a few months we’re planning to build out the team significantly and we’ll need you to step up into a leadership (i.e., CTO) role incredibly quickly to hire and build out the team. Flexibility: we’re out in the Bay area, but have folks in Chicago & are willing to set-up remote work + super flexible hours; don’t care when you work just that it gets done. Comp: we are willing to pay competitive market rates both in terms of equity and cash.
