He has been the product manager of Oracle’s Retail Predictive Application Server (RPAS) that powers retail planning at some of the world’s largest retailers (Walmart, Macy’s, Nordstrom, etc.), and has headed the entire application consulting team of another retail software company that was recently acquired by Infor. As an independent consultant, since late 2012, he has led several multi-million dollar projects at multi-billion dollar retailers. For example, he recently led the delivery of The Home Depot’s assortment planning tool that is used to plan 70B+ dollar of its annual business. He has led the entire merchandising and allocation IT program of J.Crew, and consulted with senior executives of Under Armour to put together their playbook for global expansion. While working on such large retail projects, since 2014, he has also been helping his wife start and run a brand of bags and accessories that are sold to several boutiques across the US and to larger retailers such as Neiman Marcus and The Container Store. In helping run this business, and through interaction with fellow business owners at tradeshows, Anuj has come to learn of several pain points that thousands of small business owners face in the fashion wholesale and retail space. It is this experience that is the source of GSynergy’s business idea. Anuj has a Ph.D. from GATech, is very hands on, and actively works on design and development. He strongly believes in balancing work and life, and is himself a very outdoors’ person (rock climbing, paramotoring, running etc.).
