GridSync is a smartwatch-based communication system that allows football coaches to send real-time, role-specific play assignments directly to each player’s wrist. Designed by a coach, for coaches, GridSync replaces wristbands, huddles, and verbal chaos with instant clarity and execution.

The idea was born on the field — watching players miss assignments not because they didn’t care, but because the information wasn’t delivered clearly or quickly enough. As a football coach and Navy submariner veteran, I knew there had to be a better way. I combined my experience in fast-response systems, sideline operations, and game planning to design a system that streamlines communication and eliminates delay.

The Coach tablet MVP is fully functional. Coaches can draw routes, assign motions, tag roles, and instantly broadcast plays to player smartwatches. The quarterback receives a full-field diagram. Every other player gets a simplified, individualized view of their job. We’ve filed the provisional patent, built our visual infrastructure, and are currently finishing the smartwatch delivery system for testing on the field.

Our future roadmap includes voice-command play generation, AI-powered play suggestions (GridSmart), integrated stat tracking, and customizable print-ready call sheets. The goal is to make GridSync the sideline operating system for modern football — from youth leagues to varsity, 7-on-7 to spread offenses.

We’re currently looking for a cofounder to help complete development, lead field deployment, and scale GridSync through licensing, testing, or direct sales.
