Our mission is to democratize climate action — one breath at a time — and take indoor air back to what it felt like before pollution became the price of modern living.
We started with a simple observation: sealed, air-conditioned rooms are making us feel worse — foggy, tired, restless — and nobody was solving the real problem.
Air purifiers filter dust and particles. They don't touch carbon dioxide. But CO₂ is exactly what builds up when windows stay shut and ACs run all day. It's the reason you feel like you need to "step outside for some air." The air isn't dirty. It's just running out of oxygen.
Greenwater Scientific was founded to fix that.
We created the greenwaterHOME — the world's first indoor Air Synthesizer. It uses living micro-algae to capture CO₂ and convert it back into fresh oxygen through photosynthesis, exponentially faster than any plant or tree. It also runs a full 3-stage filtration system (HEPA, carbon, pre-filter) to handle particulates and VOCs. The result is air that doesn't just smell clean — it actually is.
We're based in Gurgaon, backed by Scripps Institution of Oceanography, alumni of Blackstone LaunchPad, Grand Prize winners at the UC San Diego Triton Innovation Challenge, and recipients of a U.S. Congressional Recognition for our work at the intersection of environmental science and consumer technology.
We're a small team that moves fast, thinks carefully, and genuinely believes the problem we're solving matters. Over 14 million air conditioners were sold in India alone last year. Every one of them seals a room and spikes its CO₂. We think every one of those rooms eventually needs an Air Synthesizer next to it.
We're just getting started.
