Glidian careers

Glidian automates the most expensive transaction in healthcare: prior authorizations. It is a process by which healthcare providers obtain approvals from insurance companies for high-cost procedures and medications. The tool eliminates the need to call or fax to submit prior authorizations, which reduces the chance of denial and the time spent per authorization.

Our Team:

We're a team of graduates from Johns Hopkins and Stanford with experience in the medical device, health IT, and home automation industry who have known each other for 10+ years. We were EIRs at Venrock in summer 2016 after we sold our last startup, Switchmate.

Ashish Dua (CEO) co-founded Switchmate with Robert (Co-founder) which was acquired in Feb 2016. He worked at Boston Scientific (R&D), Thoratec (now Abbott), and Vigilant Medical (health IT) after graduating from Johns Hopkins with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and M.S.E in Electrical Engineering.

Robert Romano (COO) formerly worked on Switchmate with Ashish, raising $200k through crowdfunding and selling it to retailers across the country 1 year later. He formerly worked at Apple (Firmware QA) and Boston Scientific (Supplier Engineering). He also received an M.S. in Robotics from Stanford as part of an NSF Fellowship and a B.S in biomedical engineering, specializing in surgical robotics.

Maxwell Wu (CTO) graduated from Stanford with a B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering/mechatronics when he was 21. He worked on software at Nest to ship the Nest Secure system, the 2nd generation Nest Protect, and also has experience at Apple (Automation) and Delphi (Embedded Software).
