• Security Strategy and Leadership:

Lead the development and implementation of security strategies, policies, and procedures.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to security engineering teams and other stakeholders.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and new technologies to ensure our security practices remain effective.

• Automation and Reliability Engineering: Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CLI tools, and CI/CD-driven automation that make database provisioning, scaling, failover, and deployment self-service, consistent, and repeatable across environments - this is the core of the role, not a supporting activity.

• Independently scope, design, and deliver solutions for large, complex, cross-cutting challenges spanning backend services, web, and mobile — owning multi-system outcomes end to end.
• Drive the architecture behind onboarding, compliance (KYC/identity), and customer support workflows that serve millions of users, designing for scale and reliability with the future in mind.

• Own the technical vision and architecture for the customer-facing platform, designing for scale and reliability with a multi-year horizon and anticipating needs before they arrive.
• Review critical designs across organizations and drive the designs for projects involving the hardest technical challenges at the company; act as a key driver of demos and technical direction beyond your own team.

• Create and evolve a structure and organization design for your team.
• Stay deeply involved in the team's system architecture — guiding new systems and integrations, and using prior design experience to identify pitfalls in scaling, performance, and availability across onboarding, compliance (KYC/identity), and customer support workflows serving millions of users.

• Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines spanning both batch and real-time / streaming workloads, contributing to architectural decisions along the way
• Build and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable ETL/ELT pipelines using languages and frameworks such as Python, SQL, Spark, Flink, Beam, or equivalents

• Design, develop, and deploy customer-facing features spanning backend services, web, and mobile - owning solutions end to end rather than within a single layer.
• Build the platform tooling behind onboarding, compliance (KYC/identity), and customer support workflows that serve millions of users.

• Build and maintain security controls for AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) environments, including guardrails, container security scanning, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) security
• Support IAM initiatives by helping to design and maintain access controls, role-based access control (RBAC) models, and identity governance workflows

• Build and maintain security services, tools, and automation using Python or Go
• Design and implement security controls for AWS and Kubernetes environments using infrastructure-as-code

• Build and maintain the Predictions mobile trading experience end-to-end: market browsing, order placement, portfolio views, and settlement flows.
• Architect performant, real-time UI for streaming market data (orderbook, price charts, position P&L) using modern React Native patterns (TurboModules, JSI, native navigator integration).

• Play a key role in shaping and influencing product and design strategy.
• Translate business requirements and user research findings into elegant design solutions for complex product problems.
