Approximately 90% of the flowers we buy are imported, often traveling upwards of 3,000 miles to get to us. The structure of this global supply chain has too long optimized for historical trade patterns at the cost of flower quality, sustainability, healthy local economies, cost to consumers, and ability to enforce ethical production. Gather Flora is building our vision for a better system.

Gather Flora is a regionally organized online marketplace, specializing in cut flowers, that makes it easy for buyers to source locally. We have built a platform that provides buyers with regionally-organized access to a decentralized, traceable, inter-connected networks of producers. On the other side, our platform provides producers a simple path to quickly plug in to broader regional markets without having to devote additional resources or labor to sales or organization.

For both buyers and sellers, we broaden market access while also saving their businesses time, labor, and money. By moving logistics online and building for a decentralized supply, we are not only able to reduce the heavy costs of a large logistical middle-layer but also able to tailor a market for locally, ethically, and transparently sourced flowers, while also providing visibility into ecological and economic impact of their purchase.
