Find friends, not followers. Our flagship App, friendrequest, is based upon a fundamental, innate characteristic of human beings, i.e., sociability and the need for meaningful friendships. Current social media is failing to satisfy people on this, resulting in disillusionment that’s driving them to look for alternative, more concrete ways of meeting others. Platforms for meeting new people for the purposes of friendship have not suitably solved the pain-points that are involved in this process. We have researched the problems, tested prototypes, and refined these to create the solution, friendrequest, which has already attracted over 2,000 downloads since our launch in June 2018. Our app is currently available for download on the iOS app store, rolling out on Android devices via the Google Play Store soon. Our motto ‘Taking social offline’ is to be taken literally as we introduce our users to like-minded people in London. This flagship App is a social mobile discovery platform that facilitates actual friendships by capitalising on the reach of digital connectivity. We are now ramping up our user acquisition in London to reach 70,000 London based users before the start of next year. Our app has seen many Londoners gain not only the awareness of like-minded people living and working in their city, but also the confidence to make new friends offline, in person at venues/activities across the city, something they would not previously have been able to do.
