FloodMapp is an innovative, venture-backed start-up founded in 2018, consisting of a team of flood engineers and developers with over a decade of experience in flood modelling and large-scale project delivery.
FloodMapp’s products include:
• Predictive flood mapping - flood extent forecasting service that is valuable to insurers and utilities for visualising portfolio/assets exposed to flooding. This allows customers to improve safety and prevent damage.
• Flood hazard mapping - uses probabilistic data to capture future flood risks that is valuable for insurers to understand portfolio exposure and policy pricing.
FloodMapp’s product leverages hydrology, big data, analytics and machine learning to produce predictive risk mapping and flood warning alerts. These products will be offered as ‘software-as-a-service’ products over technology agnostic platforms via a subscription model, or as ‘data-as-a-service’ products over the use of API via a volume-based model or data type-based model.
