FIDS combines data provided through telematics and motor vehicle maintenance software to give commercial auto underwriters a snapshot of the insurability of fleets of all commercial vehicles. FIDS uses proprietary software and algorithms to calculate the score using over one hundred data points. The scores are backed by underlying reports that explain the rising or falling scores and are tailored to meet the needs of individual underwriters and business owners. The system has been developed so that scores are universal across the insurance industry and portable between insurers. FIDS can use installed telematics in vehicles or arrange very low cost telematics where required. As an added bonus, the motor vehicle inspection software used to gather data on vehicle maintenance and insurability comes with an advanced claims app for driver's smart phones.
