Not everyone has access to private fitness facilities. The vast majority of people do not have the time or money to get access to fitness resources such as personal fitness trainers, group classes, or gyms. Therefore, many people (beginners, women, obese) are deterred from going to the gym or attending group fitness classes because of fear of judgment or lack of time and money. There is still a huge barrier to many people (including many of my friends) trying to achieve their fitness goals. We want to leverage the fitness community to help give access to fitness content and resources to those who don't have the time or money to access them. I have also made many friends within the community who have struggled to have a 9-5 Job while being personal trainers/influencers due to lack of income. This platform will give them the user base and ability to gain more income from their role as trainers/influencers. The COVID 19 lockdown created a surge in fitness app downloads and daily active users. Being stuck at home and the lack of open gyms drove people to compensate and embrace home workouts. Health and Fitness saw an increase of 40% on Google play and 30% on iOS Apple Store. 30% of the total subscription apps installed in the second quarter of 2020 in the U.S. were health and fitness apps. The popularity of fitness apps and the convenience of doing workouts at home has proven to be instrumental in the growth of the fitness app market. Fitness apps will become the "new normal" as people adjust to working out at home. TikTok Fitness Influencers have the highest rate of engagement rates among leading social medias due to their incorporation of short-form videos. Similarly, micro influencers have the highest rate of engagement by a vast margin for influencer size, however most are unable to make money.
