IGOR^AI simultaneously scans all scientific publications, patents, start-ups, and supplier websites to identify technologies to facilitate technology scouting. It uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) based on ‘functional searching’ to find relationships between words in a text.

The IGOR^AI algorithm enables users to find technologies that they normally would have missed based on how they search for technological information. For example, when looking for a solution to a problem such as “a ladder,” searchers use the solution's context to find technological options. IGOR^AI looks at the actual job a ladder should accomplish – which is “raising a person in height”. This functional search approach allows companies to uncover new solutions to the same problem.
