The aim and objective for ERinfo.me is to deliver a patentable consumer technology platform where patients can securely upload and store pre-existing medical and other demographic information online. This information is then available in real time to emergency workers using a mobile software application. The application uses facial recognition technology to match a local image of the patient with their profile. The medical objective of the project is to identify patients’ pre-existing health conditions sooner, which will save lives, expedite the notification of next of kin, and reduce the costs, resources and time needed to identify patients and their pre-existing health conditions. ERinfo.me is a critically needed technology because certain scenarios create situations where patient information may be absent, but if available, would and could significantly improve medical outcomes.
