EpiWatch is an app for the Apple Watch and iPhone which tracks seizures and provides a platform for condition management in adults with epilepsy. The first app of its kind, EpiWatch collects data on a user's medication adherence, side effects, movement, heart rate, and seizure triggers to provide a personalized, mobile option for condition management. This app fills a critical need for communication during a seizure event by alerting a user's caregiver as the first symptoms occur, and provides the user with interactive prompts on the Apple Watch to test their awareness as the seizure is tracked in real time. The data captured on physiological changes, altered responsiveness and other characteristics of recurrent seizures, is used to improve treatments for those with epilepsy and continuously improve the product. EpiWatch allows users to easily review their seizure data alongside their health and fitness data from Apple's HealthKit with their physicians and care team.
