Emboline careers

Emboline has developed the Emboliner embolic protection catheter for prevention of stroke and other neurological complications during cardiovascular procedures. The initial target market is transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). About 10 to 20% of TAVR patients have a stroke as a result of the procedure, with over 50% showing some amount of decreased neurological or neurocognitive function. Beyond TAVR, the Emboliner is also suitable for use with a wide range of other cardiovascular procedures, including transcatheter mitral valve repair and replacement, surgical aortic and mitral valve replacement, electrophysiology ablation, and coronary stenting. The Emboliner is currently undergoing clinical studies. Preliminary results show the Emboliner to be 5X more effective at removing procedural embolic debris than the leading competitor, with more comprehensive protection, no increased safety risk and minimal added procedural time. The Emboliner will launch commercially in 2020.
