At Ecolumix we are mission driven to provide greater transparency about corporate environmental performance. We believe that investors, advisors and financial managers will make better decisions about how to invest, lend and manage risk when they apply better insights about companies’ actual environmental record. We provide those insights. And we are an environmental data company founded by environmental experts. The seeds of our approach came from applying what we learned at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). While there, we analyzed massive amounts of mandated environmental data, applied experts’ insights to the information and then worked to identify patterns of “bad” behavior. At Ecolumix, we have built a tool that exclusively uses this type of hard data and analytical framework. We pay attention to the actual record, not the nice things companies say about themselves.
