EastGroup Properties, Inc. (EastGroup) is an equity real estate investment trust (REIT). It is focused on the development, acquisition and operation of industrial properties in Sunbelt markets throughout the United States, including the states of Florida, Texas, Arizona, California and North Carolina. During the year ended December 31, 2011, it increased its holdings in real estate properties through its acquisition and development programs. On January 31, 2012, it acquired a 72,000 square foot distribution center and 18 acres of development land. In May 2014, the Company acquired Ridge Creek Distribution Center III located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
